John Travolta - John Travolta To Counter-sue Sexual Assault Accuser
John Travolta has vehemently denied accusations that he sexually assaulted a male masseur in his Beverly Hills Hotel room on January 16, 2012, with his representatives claiming he wasn't even in California at the time. An anonymous man filed a lawsuit seeking $2 million in damages from the Hollywood actor, who he claims groped him before attempting to pay him $800 to keep quiet, reports Tmz.com.
Travolta's spokesman branded the allegations "baseless", saying, "This lawsuit is a complete fiction and fabrication. The plaintiff, who refuses to give their name, knows that the suit is a baseless lie.On the date when plaintiff claims John met him, John was not in California and it can be proved that he was on the East Coast". The masseur - referred to in the documents as John Doe to protect his identity - accuses Travolta of assault, sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He alleges that the 'Grease' star groped him while exposing himself, before offering around $800 to stop Doe from calling the cops. Travolta's legal team have come out fighting, saying, "None of the events claimed in the suit ever occurred. He will sue the attorney and plaintiff for malicious prosecution".
Travolta is about to begin work on Barry Levinson's crime-drama 'Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father', in which he plays mob boss John Gotti.
