Picture: Johnny Depp UK premiere of 'Dark Shadows' at The Empire Cinema - Arrivals London, UK - 09.05.12
During a recent trip to Japan, where he was promoting his latest movie Dark Shadows, Johnny Depp looked to have finally met his match, as he came face to face with his Japanese look-a-like. Ken Shimizu was among the legions of fans who were ready to welcome Depp into the country at the Tokyo-district airport, however he was intent on making himself stand out from the crowd as he had dressed up to look the spitting image of Depp, complete with goatee beard and trilby hat.
In an article in the Daily Mail, the Dark Shadows actor happily stopped and obliged his lookalike with an autograph and photo, and most likely a slight feeling of unease as well. The actor star also chatted to fans and posed for pictures as he got off his plane at the Narita International Airport in Narita, east of Tokyo.
Dark Shadows is Depp's eighth collaboration with director Tim Burton, with the pair first joining up on 1990's Edward Scissorhands. They have since worked together on such hits as Ed Wood and the screen adaptation of Sweeney Todd. Their latest film is based on the long-running soap of the same name that aired on American TV between 1966 and 1971.
