Vinnie Jones - Jones' Cpr Campaign Given The All-clear
A British health campaign featuring Vinnie Jones has been cleared by a watchdog following complaints the actor performed Cpr incorrectly in the adverts.
Britain's Advertising Standards Authority (Asa) received 20 complaints from viewers who claimed the British Heart Foundation's promo was harmful as it depicts incorrect resuscitation techniques.
However, officials at the Asa have approved the clip as it is in line with European Resuscitation Council guidelines and was prepared with advice from the U.K.'s Resuscitation Council.
An Asa spokesperson says, "Because the ad showed correct techniques for hands-only Cpr, we concluded the ad was not harmful and did not encourage unsafe behaviour."
In the promo, the Snatch star demonstrates a "kiss-free" alternative to mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to the rhythm of the Bee Gees hit Stayin' Alive.
Bosses at the heart charity have reported 15 cases of bystanders using Jones' advice to help save a life.
