Country singer Josh Gracin has promised fans he is seeking professional help after he posted an apparent suicide note online on Thursday (14Aug14).
The former American Idol contestant sent his family and fans into a panic when he wrote a message on Facebook.com that suggested he wanted to take his own life.
Police managed to track Gracin down and he was admitted to hospital on a psychiatric hold so doctors could evaluate his mental health, according to Tmz.com.
The singer has since released a statement to fans which reads, "I want to thank you all for your prayers and support. I take responsibility for my actions and apologize dearly for what I have put my family through. With the help of my family and friends, I am getting help."
Gracin was due to perform in Charleston, West Virginia on Friday (15Aug14) but fellow country star Trent Tomlinson stepped in to replace him.
