Joss Stone, the British soul singer best known for her platinum album 'The Soul Sessions', appears to have been the intended victim of a murder plot on Monday (13th June 2011). Two men from Manchester are being held on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and rob after being arrested close to Stone's home in Devon, reports Bbc News.
Both men were approached by police after their suspicious vehicle was spotted in the Cullompton area of Devon. A senior police source confirmed the men were found with swords, forensic style overalls, plans of the singer's home, and a body bag. The multi-million selling Stone has been made aware of the arrests but it has not clear whether she was inside the property at the time. Devon and Cornwall Police said, "Police attended an address in Cullompton after alert residents notified officers about a suspicious-looking vehicle. Officers attended the area at around 1000 Bst and subsequently arrested the occupants of a red Fiat Punto. Major crime detectives are continuing to investigate". Last month, Stone featured in the Sunday Times Rich List as the fifth wealthiest British and Irish pop star aged under 30 with an estimated fortune of around $18 million.
After turning 17 years old, Joss Stone stormed the Brit Awards picking up 'British Female Solo Artist' and 'Best British Urban Act'.
