The Los Angeles judge who issued an arrest warrant for Lindsay Lohan on Thursday (20May10) is putting her vacation plans on hold to make sure justice is served against the actress.
Beverly Hills judge Marsha Revel was clearly annoyed when Lohan failed to show up in her courtroom, as scheduled, on Thursday morning - and she wasn't prepared to listen to excuses suggesting the star's passport had been stolen at the Cannes Film Festival in France and she was stranded in Europe.
Judge Revel told Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, "Actions speak louder than words", adding the actress had "a history of not keeping scheduled appointments."
Lohan now must show up in court on Monday (24May10), when she could face a 180-day prison sentence for violating the terms of her probation.
Revel was scheduled to be on vacation on Monday and another judge was supposed to handle the case, but the judge has opted to take time out of her holiday to conduct the hearing, according to the Los Angeles Times.
