Julian Assange has blasted WikiLeaks film 'The Fifth Estate'.

The disgraced website founder believes Bill Condon's upcoming Hollywood drama about Assange's early days trying to bring confidential government information into the public domain is a ''massive propaganda attack''.

He said: ''How does this have anything to do with us? It is a lie upon lie. The movie is a massive propaganda attack on WikiLeaks and the character of my staff.''

Addressing the Oxford Union via a videolink on Wednesday night (23.01.13) he revealed he had acquired a script of the Benedict Cumberbatch-starring movie which has now begun filming ahead of its November release date.

The journalist strongly contested the opening scene, allegedly based inside a military complex in Iran and which shows documents containing nuclear symbols.

Assange claimed the film was ''fanning the flames'' of war against Iran and wasn't grounded in fact.

He is wanted in Sweden for questioning on sex allegations and has been granted political asylum by Ecuador and spent the last seven month living in its London embassy.

'The Fifth Estate' also features 'Downton Abbey' star Dan Stevens, Laura Linney, David Thewlis and Peter Capaldi.
