Julie Andrews, the English actress and star of the hugely successful movie 'The Sound of Music', could make an appearance on the hit US series Glee after the show's star Chris Colfer revealed his desire to see her make a guest cameo, reports E! Online. The 20-year-old admitted that he would like to see Andrews play his on-screen grandmother, and added that he is now campaigning for the idea.
The ACADEMY AWARD winning actress has recently turned her attention to voicing characters for a number of animated blockbusters such as 'Despicable Me' and the forthcoming 'Enchanted 2', but Colfer believes she could be coaxed into joining the cast of the musical comedy-drama, saying, "I'm pretty sure I've been obnoxious enough now that she knows that I want her. I think they just have to write it for her".
The actor also responded to recent reports suggesting Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway wants to make a cameo on the show, Colfer said, "Anne Hathaway wants to play my lesbian aunt", before adding, "I'm all for that. Could you imagine a family with myself, Mike O'Malley, Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway? That's one hell of a family". GLEE season two will return to screens on 6th February 2011 after a two month hiatus.
