Justin Bieber believes the key to being a good boyfriend is admitting when you're wrong.

The 18-year-old 'Boyfriend'' hitmaker - who has been dating former Disney star Selena Gomez since 2010 - thinks the best way to deal with relationship conflict is just to say ''sorry''.

He said: ''To be a great boyfriend you just have to have patience and ... you're always wrong when it comes to girls, you're always wrong, so just say sorry when things are rough.''

Asked if he wrote the song especially for his other half - who is currently away in Florida filming 'Spring Breakers', he told E! News: ''No. The song definitely comes from my heart and whatever that is ... whatever is in there so I mean, I'll never let you go if you're my girlfriend, I promise.''

The former YouTube sensation has a hectic year ahead, with a new album and a tour planned.

He told Ryan Seacrest's radio show: ''After I finish my album and my album comes out, I'm going to rehearse for my tour and then I'm going to go on tour, probably this summer. End of summer.''

And the entrepreneurial star also hopes to fit in the release of a follow-up fragrance to his scent Someday.

He added: ''We're working on it. We're doing another one. It's just a branch off of that.''
