In a recent interview with GQ magazine, teen-singing sensation Justin Bieber gave an intriguing and intimate offering of his lifestyle, as he takes on his new life as an 18-year-old.
The 'Boyfriend' singer admitted in the press that he has committed underage drinking (the legal drinking age in America is 21), however reassured that he already has a firm grasp on his limits and has yet to let any erratic frolics get out of hand. In fact, he rarely ever gets the chance to partake in anything that would seem out of place from his squeaky-clean teeny image as his schedule between recording, touring and being at home leaves him with little time to partake in anything out of the ordinary.
Renowned for his shyness towards allowing public access into his personal life, Bieber remained as tight-lipped as ever throughout much of the interview with the magazine, although he did confesses that he does on occasion let down his usually sky-high guard from time to time. He told the reporter that; "For me, it's just like, I like to be in control of myself," adding; "I mean I've had a beer, like, before. ... But I never get out of control." The sign of restrained doing nothing but shine to the perfectionist pop star's public ego. Bieber also showed in the article that he is hardly a boy to think of himself lightly, adding to his comments that he has "never made a bad song." With a new album on the way, Believe, the general public will soon prove to be the boss of that.
