Singer/songwriter k.d. lang is set to be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

The Edmonton native will be feted during the 2013 JUNO Awards ceremony in Regina, Saskatchewan on 21 April (13).

Hailing lang's career achievements, Melanie Berry, President of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (Caras), says, "A gift to music, k.d. lang's voice is an instrument unto itself - uniquely beautiful and haunting. I join millions of Canadians and music fans around the world in congratulating one of our most accomplished singer-songwriters of all time."

And the Constant Craving star is overjoyed by the accolade: "To be included in the lineage of Canadian artists who have formed my musical Dna and who remain my mentors, is beyond humbling. I am deeply honoured to be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame."

Previous Hall of Fame honourees include Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Shania Twain and Joni Mitchell.
