R&B singer KANDI BURRUSS is suing her former reality Tv co-star Kim Zolciak over allegations of unpaid profits for a song they recorded together in 2009.

The former Xscape star and Real Housewives of Atlanta regular penned the track Tardy for the Party for Zolciak, who reportedly released it as a single without her co-writer's approval - and now she is demanding a cut of the royalties.

Burruss and her songwriting pal Richard filed suit over the incident in an Atlanta, Georgia court on Tuesday (12Mar13), demanding punitive damages, attorneys fees and a jury trial. They are also calling for a temporary restraining order to prevent further sales of the tune.

Ironically, Burruss' current Real Housewives pal, Phaedra Parks, is representing the singer/songwriter in the case.

Zolciak quit the series at the end of 2012.
