Kara Dioguardi - Kara Dioguardi To Speak Out About American Idol In Memoir
Kara DioGuardi, the 39-year-old American singer-songwriter and former American Idol judge, is set to release her memoirs entitled 'A Helluva High Note', according to Entertainment Weekly. Despite recently leaving the hit US singing contest 'Idol', DioGuardi is set to speak about her time on the show in the book set for release on April 26th 2011.
As well as covering her time as an 'Idol' judge, the book will also detail "her life and career as a producer, songwriter and artist," according to a Harper Collin 'It Books' publicist. The singer served as a judge on seasons eight and nine of the reality show, and is now working on a new singing competition named 'Going Platinum', which is set to begin airing on Bravo in 2011.
DioGuardi first began appearing on television in 2006 as a judge on the talent show 'The One: Making a Music Star', however, the series debuted on ABC with the second-lowest rating ever for a premiere on a major network and production was cancelled after just two weeks. In 2008 she co-wrote Kylie Minogue's hit song 'Spinning Around' with fellow 'Idol' judge Paula Abdul, and went on to pen tracks for the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Adam Lambert. During her time on AMERICAN IDOL, she wrote the season 8 'winning single', 'No Boundaries'.
