Karen Gillan, the British actress best known for her role in the Bbc sci-fi series Doctor Who, was found naked in the corridor of a luxury Manhattan hotel, according to the UK's Daily Mail. Karen Gillan, who plays the Doctor's assistant in the award-winning drama series, was visiting New York with Matt Smith for a stint of promotional work.
Following one night in 'The Ace' hotel, Gillan was found "whimpering" in the corridor at around 7am before security arrived to wrap her in a towel and direct her back to her hotel room. The individual who discovered the actress said, "I went to the peephole and looked out. I saw a man at the lift who was looking back at someone who was attempting to open my door. the next thing I saw was a woman giving this person at my door two towels before getting into the lift and leaving". The guest added, "Then I saw this young woman, completely naked, trying to wrap two towels around her and not having much luck. She then started to whimper and knock on my door" According to the newspaper, a Bbc spokesman said "We're unaware of this alleged incident" and Miss Gillan's representative has also declined to comment on the issue.
Karen Gillan, a former model from Scotland, previously starred in the comedy sketch series 'The Kevin Bishop Show'. She also appeared in the British medical drama series 'Harley Street' before landing the role of 'Amy Pond' on Doctor Who.
