Kasabian Singer Spends Thousands On Sci-fi Toysby Contributor | 27 December 2007
Tom Meighan, lead singer of Kasabian, has been spending big on his sci-fi toys collection after buying £8,000 worth of replicas from Star Wars.
The singer apparently hired a model maker to create life-seized models of R2-D2 and C-3PO from the George Lucas films.
A friend of the KASABIAN frontman told the Sun: "Tom has paid £8,000 to have the life-size R2-D2 and C-3P0 models made and they are both exact replicas from the film. They now have pride of place in his flat, which is full of cool stuff from cult movies."
Tom is a good lad and is living the dream. He's the frontman in a rock 'n' roll band and his apartment is full of the best boys' toys that money can buy," the friend added.
MEIGHAN recently spent £10,000 on the BMX ridden by Elliott in the Steven Spielberg film ET.
He apparently also has a life sized model of ET to put in the basket of the bike.
Meanwhile, a survey for Goodfellas Pizza revealed that Welsh singer Charlotte Church's boyfriend Gavin Henson has been voted Britain's favourite bad boy.
The poll which revealed who the UK thought were the worst behaved male celebrities in the UK in 2007, also featured Pete Doherty and Marc Bannerman.
TROY star Brad Pitt was voted the film star "Badfella of the Year", while JUMANJI actor Robin Williams was given the favourite good guy award.
