Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has left her husband Prince William on the Isle of Anglesey and jetted off to spend some time in the Caribbean sun with her family. According to the Huffington Post, Kate is being joined by her sister Pippa Middleton, brother James and their parents.
The family flew first class on a British Airways flight from London's Gatwick Airport to St Lucia, though it is assumed they'll be moving on to their favorite holiday destination of Mustique (also the location of Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell's honeymoon). Clarence House has so far refused to comment on the vacation, though it understood the Duchess' personal security team have also made the journey. In December 2011, she and Prince William were forced to cancel their luxury ski-trip following concerns it may be taken badly by the British public given the current state of the economy. According to People Magazine, the current Caribbean trip may be linked to Kate's recent 30th birthday and her mother's 57th celebrations later this month.
A spokeswoman for British Airways said the airline, "never comments on individual passengers due to data protection legislation". One of Middleton's next public appearances will reportedly see her run the London Sport Relief 2012 Mile in March.
