Kate Moss may appear topless on the cover of Playboy magazine's 60th anniversary edition.

Rumours initially emerged via website NowThisNews.com, who claimed they had seen a leaked memo which revealed the supermodel was due to pose for photographers Mert and Marcus in London - and now Refinery29.com are reporting that the saucy shoot has already happened.

This is not the first time Kate has done a topless shoot. The 39-year-old model launched her career with a racy campaign for Calvin Klein when she was just 16 years old, in which she was pictured straddling a male model.

In a later interview, she claimed the daunting experience gave her a ''nervous breakdown'' and she was unable to get out of bed for two weeks.

Kate recently bared all on the French cover of ELLE in September 2011, wearing a pair of denim hot-pants standing in the middle of a field.

In March, Kate - who is the face of luxury shoe brand Stuart Weitzman - appeared on a billboard in New York City wearing nothing but a pair of knickers and Stuart Weitzman heels.

The magazine is set to hit stands in January 2014 coinciding with her 40th birthday.
