Katy Perry wants Todd Thomas to design her tour costumes.

The 'Firework' singer - who is known for her outrageous on-stage outfits - is a big admirer of the designer's work and after wearing some of his creations to recent events, she is keen for him to create some costumes for her.

Speaking about a Mrs. Clause dress she wore at the recent Jingle Ball concert series in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York, Katy said: "Todd Thomas designed it - he also did the Victoria's Secret runway costumes. I performed and met Todd there. I've fallen in love with his designs and I'm hoping he does one of my tour costumes. He did my snowman and he did this toy soldier I wore last night."

While Katy wants crazy outfits for her tour next year, she recently revealed she knows there is an "expiration date" on her outrageous fashion choices.

She said: "They have an expiration date and that's why I'm wearing them now at 25. I'm such a sucker for a theme, so if I go somewhere like Las Vegas, I'll dress like Vegas! Or if it's Christmas time, I'll dress like Mrs. Claus!

"I've always been girly - even though I was a tomboy. My mother said when I was a kid, I was changing for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I don't make it a big deal, I just do it."
