Keanu Reeves has said he hopes to make a third instalment of the 'Bill and Ted' movies, and has begun speaking to people about making the idea a reality. Whilst attending the Toronto Film Festival last week, Reeves said he was open to the idea of making a third film, and suggested that so-star Alex Winter and writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon are also keen on making the movie.
46-year-old Reeves told MTV News, "We're trying. Alex and I are still friends and we're talking, and we're talking to Chris and Ed. They're going to try and see if they can write something. To me, I'd love to play the role. I'd love to work with Alex and Chris and Ed again." The first movie, 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure' was released in 1989 and followed two heavy metal fans as they travelled though time in order to persuade key historical figures to take part in their high school history presentation. The sequel, 'Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey', focused on a tyrant from the future who created evil doubles of the movie's protagonists.
Speaking about ideas for a potential third film, Reeves said, "We'll see what they do. If it's a film that can stand up on its own, and I'm meeting people now, they've shown the film to their kids".
