Kenny G has filed for divorce.

The saxophonist has split from Balynda Helene Benson-Gorelick after 20 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

Kenny - full name Kenneth Bruce Gorelick - is seeking joint custody of their 14-year-old son, Noah, and his filing states he doesn't want to pay spousal support. The couple also have another son, Max, who is 17.

The 45-year-old musician - who is worth an estimated $50 million - also indicated in his divorce papers, filed on August 9, that he and Balynda have a pre-nuptial agreement.

The couple have been apart since January, when Balynda filed for a legal separation. Divorce lawyer Laura Wasser - who has previously acted for Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera - is representing Kenny.

Kenny is one of the most prominent and successful smooth jazz musicians of all time, and holds the world record for playing the longest note ever recorded on a saxophone - 45 minutes and 47 seconds.

As well as his instrumental solo albums, he has also collaborated with the likes of Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra and Andrea Bocelli.
