Kiefer Sutherland is set to make his return to TV in his first high-profile role following the end of his hit show 24.
The long-running drama came to an end last year (10) after eight seasons on air, and Sutherland has now confirmed he has accepted a new job on the small screen in a supernatural series from Heroes creator Tim Kring.
The show, called Touch, will also mark Kring's first project since Heroes ended in 2010.
The actor will play a father whose mute 11-year-old son can predict the future and the show will co-star Lethal Weapon's Danny Glover, according to Reuters.
Sutherland says, "Every once in a while, you encounter a piece of material that you cannot say 'no' to."
Touch is set to premiere in 2012.
