Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finally went public with their romance at the opening of Scott Disick's restaurant Ryu in New York's meatpacking district this week. Though the couple had been spotted on numerous 'dates' together, it was unclear whether they were serious about a relationship, however, they appeared a picture of happiness at the event on Monday (April 23, 2012).
The 34-year-old rapper and 31-year-old reality star held hands and smiled for the cameras as they approached the restaurant, being joined by Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom. The superstar couple also posed for photographs inside the exclusive venue, with Kim affectionately holding Kanye's arm. The reality star opted for a black pencil skirt and halterneck top for her first real outing with Kanye, while the rapper opted for a smart tuxedo-style suit with grey t-shirt. It was the family's first meeting with Kanye since he hooked up with Kim, following her disastrous marriage to basketball star Kris Humphries. The clan appeared to be in high spirits for the restaurant launch, which offers Japanese-inspired cuisine and "world class cocktails" in a chic dining space, according to the UK's Daily Mail.
Appearing on the U.S. show Watch What Happens Live earlier this week, Kim's sister Khloe discussed the blossoming relationship, saying, "I don't think it's serious. I think it's too soon. But because they've been friends for so long, it's just so easy and that's something I love seeing for Kim - the easiness and how happy she is. And it's just more of a great friendship and friendships make the best relationships". Perhaps Kim and Kanye would disagree.
