Jeremy Lin, the American-Chinese New York Knicks basketball sensation, has denied he is dating socialite and television star Kim Kardashian. Lin has become enormously popular in the United States and Asia following his extraordinary rise to fame that saw him go from sleeping on his brother's couch to getting to his big-break for the Knicks.
During a recent interview with Espn's Rachel Nichols, Lin spoke about the wave of interest in him (dubbed Linsanity) and how he's coping with the unexpected rise to fame. Discussing one of the funnier sides to his new-found celebrity status, Lin denied he was dating Kim Kardashian, saying, "Stuff about me dating Kim Kardashian, I mean, I have no idea where that came from and all these other rumors". When asked by Nichols if he was the "Kim Kardashian type," Lin responded, "Nah, I don't think I'm that type". Last week, a source close to Kardashian had told the Inquisitor, "(Kim Kardashian) thinks (Jeremy Linn) is cute, and she's good friend's with (Jeremy's teammate Carmelo Anthony's wife) Lala. It's going to be a double date."
Lin has hit the headlines this week after an Espn writer was sacked for writing a caption deemed to be racist. Anthony Federico was fired after writing "A Chink in the Armour" on Friday (February 17, 2012).
