Konnie Huq and Charlie Brooker are expecting a child! The couple started dating in 2009 and got married in 2010 at the famous Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas nine month later. Now it turns out that Huq is on her way through another special nine months with her and Brooker expecting their first child together, reports The Press Association. Huq's agent Jonathan Shalit said "Konnie is telling friends how happy she and Charlie are." Brooker, a media critic, writer and television personality responded to the news in his own unique way on Twitter, posting a link to a Youtube video of Russian parody band Nogy Svelo's track 'Happy Because I'm Pregnant,' thanking fans for their congratulations in the process.
Many have thought that the pair make an unlikely couple; Huq came to prominence hosting UK children's television show 'Blue Peter,' a bastion of Bbc programming that she was at the helm for over eleven years from 1997 to 2008 - the longest-running female presenter it has ever had. She went on to host 'X Factor UK' show 'The Xtra Factor' though stepped down from it this year. Contrast this with Brooker, who initially made his name as a computer game reviewer for the magazine PC Zone before going on to write for UK newspaper 'The Guardian' and hosting his review show 'Scenewipe' on UK's Channel 4 network.
Known for his forthright views and often angrily delivered rants at certain subjects, Brooker has found an unlikely yang to his ying and the couple have managed to keep their relationship relatively private away from the press - which usually means they're doing pretty well together.
