Kristen Stewart is reaching out to Robert Pattinson in attempt to save their seemingly doomed relationship. The couple are understood to have split after Stewart was caught canoodling with her 'Snow White' director Rupert Sanders, later admitting to an affair in a public statement.
With Robert in California (reportedly staying with pal Reese Witherspoon) and Stewart lying low, it is thought that the American actress is keen on rescuing their relationship as soon as possible, especially since the pair are scheduled to begin promotional duties for the final Twilight movie pretty soon. According to Now Magazine, Stewart is trying to convince Pattinson to meet her on the Isle of Wight, a place they once described as "their ideal wedding destination". A source explained, "She wants him to meet her there next week to talk. She's been doing everything she can to reassure him that her fling with Rupert was a one-off.It seems he'll relent - she's still his world". The couple were spotted on the island in December 2009 and were rumoured to be looking at properties there. So enamoured were they with the place, the pair returned in December 2010 to celebrate New Year's Eve at The Spyglass Inn at Ventnor. The source added, "Kristen thinks that if anywhere will remind Rob of what they had together, it's there. They've shared happy times on the island and even talked at one point about how it'd be their ideal wedding destination". Perhaps the couple will settle their differences on the island's famous steam railway, or take a trip to Ventnor's scenic botanic garden?
Should the couple choose not to get back together, Summit Entertainment may be forced to have Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart promote the final Twilight movie separately, perhaps even appearing at different premieres.
