Kristen Stewart has been listed as the world's highest paid actress, for her earnings between May 2011 till May 2012. The 'Twilight' star topped Forbes annual list, with takings of $34.5 million for her work in the penultimate movie in the vampire franchise, as well as the recent 'Snow White and the Huntsman'.
The 22-year-old just edged out Cameron Diaz, who took a risk on the low-budget comedy 'Bad Teacher' ($20 million), that went on to gross $216 million worldwide. The actress is understood to have been rewarded with a portion of the profits from the success of the film, which also starred her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake. Elsewhere, Angelina Jolie ended up in fourth place with $20 million, despite the fact that she didn't star in any movies - instead collecting money from some of her past work and from endorsements. Other big hitters such as Charlize Theron ($18 million) and Julia Roberts ($16 million) made the list, while the 'Bridesmaids' star Kristen Wiig took home $12 million. Rounding out the Top 10 was Jennifer Aniston, who still made around $10 million in a relatively quiet year for the star.
It's likely that Kristen Stewart will feature prominently on next year's list, with the final instalment in the Twilight Saga hitting theaters in November. She has also begun work on the Nick Cassavetes action-comedy 'Cali', about a girl who returns to Los Angeles to save her sister from some unsavoury characters.
