Actress/singer Kristin Chenoweth is set to turn her upcoming tour stop in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma into a mini high-school reunion - because she has never been able to fly home for planned get togethers.
The Glee star is due to kick off the North American leg of her debut world tour next month (May12) and while she insists she's looking forward to each of the gigs, she's really excited about the June (12) show in her hometown.
She tells PR.com, "I can't wait! My parents moved when I was 18. It's been a long time since I've been to Broken Arrow. I know that a lot of my classmates are planning on coming, and that will be really great because I haven't been to any of my reunions.
"I'm nervous. Obviously, I want to do great in all the cities, but Broken Arrow is the last stop for a reason. I think I'll probably be pretty emotional."
And while Chenoweth plans on catching up with some of her old classmates, she admits there's one other stop she has to make.
She adds, "They've never had a performing arts centre in my town until, like, two years ago. It's a state-of- the-art facility and they're naming the auditorium after me. I'm kind of like, 'Wait a minute, don't do that yet, I'm not ready for that yet.' But the other part of me thinks, 'No, accept it. You've worked hard and you're proud of where you're from.'"
