Lacey Buchanan Gets Engaged On-stage At Country Gig
Lacey Buchanan got engaged to the country singer Jake Owen while he was performing in front of a packed crowd at the Citrus Bowl at Vero Beach High on Saturday (April 7, 2012).
According to People magazine, Owen was performing his hit song 'Don't Think I Can't Love You' when he brought model Buchanan on-stage for a dance. However, the singer then got down on one knee and proposed in front of the crowd. Concertgoers told People magazine that the proposal appeared to be entirely spontaneous and Owen wasn't even prepared with a ring. Referencing a lyric in one of his songs, Jake told his wife-to-be, "I just said I can't buy you a big diamond ring or a big old house on the hill, but I promise you I'll love you forever and ever and ever". Buchanan has appeared in two of Owen's videos, for 'Barefoot Blue Jean Night' and 'Eight Second Ride'.
Tweeting to his followers the following day, Owen appeared overjoyed that Buchanan had accepted his marriage proposal, saying, "I'm a happy man. Life is complete". Owen released his debut album 'Startin With Me' in 2006 - his latest album 'Barefoot Blue Jean Night' topped the country start in August 2011
