Lady GaGa, the eccentric and highly original pop superstar, has been accused of copying her unique style from a girl who committed suicide in 2008. The 'Just Dance' singer has been accused of stealing the 'soul' of LINA MORGANA, whom the 24-year-old collaborated with back in 2007. However, despite the fact that Morgana killed herself in 2008, her mother claims that Gaga has simply 'ripped off' her daughter's image, she told the New York Post, "I'm doing this because I want to keep her spirit alive. LADY GAGA is holding Lina's soul and I want her soul to be free".
Her allegations come as Gaga prepares to go head-to-head with Eminem at the MTV Video Music Awards on 12th September 2010. Both acts lead the nominations tally, and they're set to do battle for 'Best Pop Video', and 'Video of the Year'. However, Morgana's mother is insistent that Gaga isn't the original artist she would have her fans believe, she said, "Every other word she says is from Lina. She talks about having a dark and tragic life, but she had everything she wanted in the world".
To back-up her story, she also released photos of her daughter shortly before she died and according to MTV News, the images "bare a striking resemblance to the Bad Romance hitmaker".
