Lady GaGa caused some consternation in the fashion world on Wednesday evening (August 8, 2012) by seemingly leaking her September issue cover for Vogue magazine. Fashion bloggers were aghast when Lady Gaga's Vogue cover prematurely appeared on her Twitter page, though it seems the whole thing was given the green-light by the magazine's head honcho Anna Wintour.
The 'Poker Face' singer posted the photo on her own Twitter page, telling her 28 million followers, "Shh Dont Tell Twitter/ Sept Issue Of Vogue Magazine/ Sorry Anna but the underground kids deserve it. bisous!". Fashion commentators began speculating whether Gaga had risked the wrath of Wintour - the most powerful woman in the industry who is known not to suffer fools easily. However, Gaga quickly put everyone's mind to rest, adding, "Don't worry I've been txting Wintour all morning trying to get that cover queens. next im sending bagels to Vogue (complex carbohydrate war)".The singer's second appearance on the cover of Vogue sees her wearing a fuschia-colored mermaid dress by Marc Jacobs, a far cry from her last outing when she wore a light colored gown matched with a pink bob.
Gaga's accompanying interview in the magazine is also raising eyebrows. The pop superstar revealed that her monumental fame hasn't slowed down her wild side, saying, "I'm a complete free spirit, so, even though you don't see it, I still find time to have sex at night on the beach when no one's around.Or roll into a bar and get [bleeped] up, and dance with my top off. It's just that no one ever sees that, because I have great real friends who never let me do it when I would get caught". The September issue of Vogue is a record breaking edition, weighing in at a huge 916 pages.
