Lady GaGa lengthens the heels on her shoes.

The eccentric singer - who made her catwalk debut at the Thierry Mugler show in Paris Fashion Week yesterday (02.03.11) - requested the footwear be boosted before she took to the runway, despite them already being "really high".

She said: "They made me really high shoes for the show and didn't think they were high enough, so I made them make them higher."

The 'Born This Way' hitmaker - who was listed as musical director for the show - also admitted taking to the catwalk had made her feel "free" and she was particularly proud of the event because she felt she and the label's chief designer Nicola Formichetti broke free of traditional music and fashion boundaries.

She told CNN presenter Monita Rajpal: "I don't want to take any credit for Nicola's work. He's really, really an amazing designer. He's an amazing creative. I think something that the music industry and The Fashion industry share is that now that the internet is alive, criticism has sort of created this sort of competition and race.

"When Nicola and I see everything as really subjective and really free minded. So today was great. because we just sort of said you know f**k music, f**k fashion, it's all about being free and being proud to be a woman."
