Lady GaGa kick started the UK leg of her 'Born This Way' tour at Twickenham last night and did so in typical Gaga-esque fashion.
The 26-year-old singer played a set that saw her utilise a number of quirky stage props including a set that resembled a large castle complete with motorbikes with keyboards attached driving around the stage. Gaga ran through a host of her chart topping hits, including 'Just Dance', 'Bad Romance', and 'Marry The Night' showing that after a number of months on the road, she still has the energy to put on a show stopping performance.
Throughout the show, Gaga was full of praise for the fans in attendance, at one point saying, "On behalf of me, my wonderful band, my fabulous dancers, production staff, amazing crew, thank you for buying a ticket to come and see us."
Her set also included a tribute the Princess Diana and cover version of the John Lennon song 'Imagine,' after which the singer referred to him as "the greatest song writer ever."
Fans queued over night to ensure they had the best spot in the crowd, with many expected to have done the same last night as Gaga will be returning to the stage at Twickenham tonight. After this, the singer will be heading out of the capital to perform at Manchester's MEN Arena before heading to Dublin and then back to the continent for shows in Amsterdam, Berlin and Paris to name but a few.
