Lamb Of God - Lamb Of God Axe Tour
Rockers Lamb of God have axed their upcoming tour following frontman Randy Blythe's incarceration in the Czech Republic.
The musician has been in custody in Prague for weeks after he was accused of causing a 19-year-old fan's fatal brain haemorrhage by allegedly pushing him offstage during a 2010 show in the city.
The star posted $197,500 (Gbp126,000) bail shortly after his arrest, but his release was delayed by officials, who have since raised the bond to over $400,000 (Gbp250,000) as a result of objections from prosecutors.
And now the band has been forced to cancel its co-headlining tour with Dethklok, which was due to begin in Seattle, Washington on 1 August (12), because the lead singer remains behind bars.
A statement from the group reads, "The band regrets the decision but the uncertainty of Randy's release makes it impossible to carry on with the tour. Upon Randy's release, it is the band's intention to rebook a tour in the fall and at this time the band fully intends to participate in the Mayhem Cruise in December (12)."
Blythe, who remembers few details about the concert in question, is due to stand trial later this summer (12), and faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
