Lanvin is to create four limited-edition soft figurines to coincide with the launch of its debut girlswear range.
The luxury fashion house - headed by eccentric designer Alber Elbaz - has teamed up with charity Dessine L'Espoir to design the dolls, which will be hand-embroidered by women from Swaziland who are living with HIV.
Dessine L'Espoir supports the women and by giving them employment, the scheme aims to enhance their quality of life so they are better fit to support their families.
The figurines will retail at $350 and will be available from November in Lanvin boutiques and stockists carrying the new girlswear range, while a percentage of each doll will be donated to Dessine L'Espoir.
Earlier this year, it was announced Lanvin will debut a childrenswear line in November.
The label will launch a collection of 25 pieces as part of their spring/summer 2012 outing, with executive vice-president of the brand Thierry Andretta touting its "luxury" credentials.
He said: "It's a way to translate the universe of Lanvin ready-to-wear to the world of kids. We really want to stay in the luxury world."
The collection is aimed at girls between the ages of four and 10 and include dresses, T-shirts, coats and accessories.
