Recent trend suggests Wham's classic 1984 track Last Christmas is the most downloaded Christmas song, the track written by George Michael was one of the bands most successful tracks.
The second most downloaded song was Mariah Carey's 1994 smash hit 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' but the figures also show Elvis Presley is 'The King' of Christmas with three of his most loved Christmas songs 'Blue Christmas', 'Santa Claus Is Back In Town' and 'White Christmas' all featuring in the top ten. The figures collated by Nokia's OVI music store also feature tracks from Band Aid, Bing Crosby and John Lennon.
GEORGE MICHEAL might hope to follow up the success of Last Christmas with his new single December Song which is set for re-release on December 13th 2010. Other contenders for the 2010 Christmas number one come from Manchester based pop group Hurts and their single 'All I Want For Christmas Is New Year's Day', The Killers who will release their new effort 'Boots, and The X Factor winner and group cover of David Bowie's 'Heroes'.
