Owen Wilson - Latest Owen Wilson Flick Gets Release
Owen Wilson has a new film out in the US after 'The Big Year' went on general release on Friday (14/10,) though a UK launch won't be happening until March.
The film - which also stars Jack Black, John Cleese and Steve Martin among others - sees three bird watchers compete to spot the rarest birds in North America at an annual event and has been released to lukewarm reviews, though the LA Times have been positive by stating that "there is some harmless pleasure to be found."
Wilson has been prolific this year, providing voice over for animation film 'Cars 2,' appearing in the Dvd-only release of 'Hall Pass' and also teaming up with Woody Allen in the director's film 'Midnight In Paris,' released to good reviews at the Cannes Film Festival.
Perhaps most exciting however is Wilson's talk about the follow up to comedy classic 'Zoolander;' the star told MTV in a video interview that his much-loved character 'Hansel' has "fallen on hard times," furthering that "there's been a disfiguring injury."
Way back in January Ben Stiller had begun the talk of a 'Zoolander' follow up, reports the NME, saying that the script - written with Justin Theroux - had been completed; ""Most of it is set in Europe," he'd said. "I don't want to give away too much, but it's basically Derek and Hansel 10 years later, though the last movie ended on a happy note a lot of things have happened in the meantime."
