Eva Longoria's parents were thrilled when the actress was asked to host Saturday's (02Jun07) Latino Media Arts (ALMA) Awards, because they could finally go to an awards ceremony they cared about.
The 32-year-old's parents are proud their daughter is a leading member of America's Latino community.
Longoria says, "It's so funny. My parents don't care about the Emmys or the Oscars or the Golden Globes.
"They wanted to come to the ALMAs. That's the people they recognise."
