Leah Messer, the star of Teen Mom 2, has certainly endured a tumultuous start to the year. After weeks of stomach cramps, she recently announced she had suffered a tragic miscarriage. However, it looks like the mother-of-two is looking to refocus her energy on twins Aliannah and Aleeah having entered them into a beauty pageant.
Messer, 19, will take twins down to the 'Beauties and Beaus Pageantry' on February 11, 2012, and the kids will earn a trophy just for competing, According to Hollybaby, the competition is less focused around a winner and more about "building self-esteem". Proceeds from the event are donated to St. Jude's and the babies earn fun titles such as 'Mini Supreme' or 'the Queen'. Fans of Messer will be able to see how Aliannah and Aleeah get on at the pageant, as MTV are shooting the pageant for a television special. News of the children's inclusion was first announced by Leah's mother Dawn Spears, who tweeted on January 24, 2012, "All. Ali & Aleeah will be in the St.Jude beauty pageant on Feb 11th at the wv state college. It starts at 11am come out and support St.Jude". She later tweeted. "I'm on the search for pretty pageant dresses".
Messer was married to the father of her children Corey Simms, but the pair filed for divorce after just six months. She is now engaged to new beau Jeremy Calvert, 22.
