Lennon And Ono Saved By Dodgy Dealer
John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono were saved from a life of heroin abuse after their drug dealer supplied them with questionable narcotics.
Ono admits she and the late Beatle were exposed to a much lower strength dose of the drug because their supply was constantly laced with talcum powder. Their shared fear of needles also contributed to their decision to put a stop to their drug abuse.
She says, "Luckily we never injected because both of us were totally scared about needles. So that probably saved us and the other thing that saved us was that our connection was not very good.
"Our connection kept getting us a lot laced with baby powder. We said, 'What is this?' But that saved us probably."
