British singer Leona Lewis suffered a major meltdown in the days before she kicked off her European shows this week (beg15Apr13) and came close to quitting the tour over the pressure.

The Bleeding Love star launched her Glassheart tour in Berlin, Germany on Monday night (15Apr13), but she has now revealed she nearly walked away from the trek as the stress became too much for her to bear.

In a post on her blog after her first concert, she writes, "I have been feeling the pressure so much... Only a few days ago I probably had one of the most stressful days of my life, I was in floods of tears and I had at one point thought of disappearing into the night and not coming back. All the emotions you feel during tour preparations are so overwhelming."

However, Lewis recovered her composure and pressed ahead with opening night in the German capital, and now admits the show was worth it.

She adds, "Tonight I feel like my feet can't touch the ground... Every bit of blood, sweat and tears had payed (sic) off."
