Rocker Liam Gallagher has put a 15-year-old feud with the Spice Girls firmly in the past after partying with the pop stars after the London Olympics Closing Ceremony on Sunday (12Aug12).
The former Oasis star famously declared his dislike for the Wannabe hitmakers in 1997 when he refused to attend the U.K.'s Brit Awards after vowing to "smack" the girl group if he ran into them.
Sporty Spice Melanie Chisholm challenged Gallagher to confront them in person, and taunted him while onstage at the prizegiving, saying, "Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough!"
The two acts were both called on to perform at the Olympics' big show on Sunday and they proved they had moved on from their petty past by posing for photos together at the Games' afterparty and uploading them to Twitter.com.
Chisholm even poked fun at the unlikely meeting, tweeting, "Love @liamgallagher 'come and 'ave (sic) a go!'"
Posh Spice Victoria Beckham was the only member of the pop five-piece to skip the afterparty - she made a quick exit soon after taking the stage at the Olympic Stadium to return to her home in Los Angeles.
