Rapper Lil Mama will play late R&B star Lisa 'left Eye' Lopes in an upcoming biopic about TLC.

Lopes, Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins and Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas' rise to fame will be portrayed in U.S. Tv network Vh1's new full-length film, about how the Waterfall hitmakers became one of the biggest girl groups in history.

The band came to a tragic end in 2002 when Lopes died in a car crash, but Lil Mama will bring the feisty musician back to life by playing her on the small screen.

Rap icon MC Lyte let the casting news slip to the New York Daily News, saying, "I don't know if I'm supposed to say, but I will. She (Lil Mama) just got the role of Left Eye in Tlc's new movie."
