Lil Wayne Facing Legal Action Over Cancelled Show
Rapper Lil Wayne is facing a lawsuit from a disgruntled promoter for cancelling a planned show in New York three times.
The Lollipop hitmaker, real name Dwayne Carter Jr., was originally due to perform in Rochester, New York on 26 October (08) before pulling the gig at the last minute due to problems with the sound.
Two further dates have since been cancelled for differing reasons - and now concert promoter RMF Productions has filed a legal document against the rapper for scrapping the show, according to TMZ.com.
Edward Strickland, General Manager of RMF Productions, is seeking $1.3 million (£800,000) in compensation, naming Lil Wayne, his manager and others in the lawsuit.
