According to a story broken by The Mirror, one-time singer songwriter, now full-time mum, Lily Allen is said to be expecting her second child with husband SAM COOPER.

The baby is said to be due in December, according to reports, meaning the latest arrival to the Allen/Cooper clan will be exactly a year younger than big sister Ethel Mary, who was born at the end of 2011.

The news that she is expecting may not come as a surprise to all though, given that she was already sporting a sizable baby bump when she joined Professor Green on stage in front of thousands of fans at Manchester's Heaton Park last weekend. She had also been spotted with a bump whilst out in public a few times in the past, but little was made of it. A friend of Allen told The Mirror: "Lily was sure people were going to cotton on to the fact she had a pregnancy bump but she seemed to get away with it thanks to wearing very baggy clothing."

This will be terrific news for the two, especially Lily who had two miscarriages before giving birth to Ethel Mary, her last occurring when she tragically lost her baby boy when six months pregnant. Prior to this she also suffered a miscarriage in 2008 when she was in a relationship with Chemical Brothers star ED SIMONS.

Lily is currently planning on releasing a new album of original material, for release early next year. It will come some two years after her last album, after which she took time out to start her family.
