Lily Allen fears her wedding will be a windswept washout as hurricane-force winds are predicted to hit the U.K. this weekend (11-12Jun11).
The Smile hitmaker is due to marry her fiance Sam Cooper near their countryside home in south west England on Saturday (11Jun11) but she has been thrown into a panic after checking the weather forecast online.
Experts are predicting gales and winds of more than 270 miles per hour (435 kilometres per hour) will hit the region around the time the couple exchanges vows, and Allen is desperately hoping the reports are wrong.
In a post on her Twitter.com blog, she asks British weather forecaster Lucy Verasamy, "It says there are going to be winds of 275 mph in Gloucestershire this Sat (Saturday) on (weather website) Met Check, please tell me they're lying. It's my wedding."
But Verasamy moved swiftly to reassure the singer, 'Tweeting' back, "It's lies. Probs (probably) a glitch in their data feed. Charts/forecast have been changing everyday - bit early to call Saturday."
