Dallas legend Linda Gray snubbed an offer to appear in the final series of Desperate Housewives after bosses ignored her initial request to star in the show.
The actress met with the U.S. hit programme's writers to express her desire to play a feisty housewife alongside Eva Longoria and Teri Hatcher, and the star insists they were eager to pen her a part.
However the offer didn't come until producers were creating the final run, which is currently airing in the U.S. - but Gray told them they were too late.
She tells Britain's Fabulous magazine, "I wanted to go on Desperate Housewives and the writers said it was a great idea, and that (my Dallas character) Sue Ellen was the original housewife.
"Then nothing happened. Now they've asked me to do the last season and I've said, 'No way!' It's too late. They had their chance."
