Lindsay Lohan 's life tends to peak and trough at rather a rapid pace, so we're weary to write that things are on the up for the controversial star. However it would seem that she's in a purple patch at the moment as, following on from the announcement that she'll be presenting a forthcoming episode of 'Saturday Night Live,' she's now been confirmed to take on the role she's been eyeing for some time now, that of playing Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime's biopic 'Liz & DICk.'
Lohan is still working her way through a probation period for a series of theft and drink driving charges, something that after a rocky start - being turned away from where she was initially meant to do community service at a Women's Help Centre and then turning up late at her new job at Los Angeles County morgue - she looked to be heading back to the chokey. Indeed at one point she was sentenced to 30 days in jail, but managed to serve only four hours of it before walking free due to overcrowding.
As such, a source has told Access Hollywood that the caveat of her latest role is that she must stay on the right side of the law, something you sense that she now has plenty intention of doing.
