Lindsay Lohan helped out with the gardening at a women's shelter in New York to clock up her community service hours.

The 'Mean Girls' star - who was ordered to undertake 125 hours of voluntary work by May 28 as part of her punishment stemming from a reckless driving incident in 2012 - took to her Instagram account to share proof she was taking the task seriously as she helped out at the TLC women's shelter in the Big Apple today (17.05.15).

However, the 28-year-old star wasn't exactly dressed for the occasion and can be seen flashing her cleavage and bra in a little black dress while holding a large pair of gardening shears in the photograph.

She captioned the image: ''Gardening #TLC women's shelter.''

Lindsay also shared a video of her trimming the branches off a tree which she captioned with a thumbs up emoji.

Meanwhile, the star - who faces jail if she fails to complete her hours by the deadline - is reportedly planning to flee the country rather than be incarcerated.

According to gossip website TMZ, the actress has already told her family and friends of her plans not to return to her court hearing in California at the end of the month and has called upon a wealthy pal, who owns a Monaco hotel, to let her stay there indefinitely.
