Lindsay Lohan showed off her new look smile at the weekend, after undergoing the famous 'Zoom!' teeth whitening procedure to correct her previously flawed set of teeth. The actress has had a whirlwind few weeks that has seen her face a potential jail sentence, while also netting a reported $1 million for a Playboy shoot.
The 25-year-old hit the headlines in early October after she was photographed at a red carpet event in Los Angeles with teeth that appeared yellow and stained. Amidst frantic speculation, the actress' spokesperson told ABC News, "I think of all the things going on in the world today - from deteriorating public education to rampant homelessness to political unrest - there is no way I'm going to comment on Lindsay's teeth". Nevertheless, the furore surrounding the teeth appears to have led Lindsay to get treatment, with the actress undergoing the Zoom! treatment that involves a gel application and special light shined onto the teeth for around 45 minutes. Speaking to Twitter followers on Saturday (29th October 2011), Lindsay said, "Thanks Dr. Dorfman for the zoom... My gums are so sore though!". The procedure has previously been featured on the U.S. reality show 'Extreme Makeover'.
Lohan began her court-mandated community service at a Los Angeles morgue earlier this month. She has been ordered to complete 400 hours of community service in total, including 120 hours at the morgue.
