Linkin Park bassist Dave Farrell has met with high-ranking Haitian officials in a bid to find ways for his charity organisation Music for Relief to help the ongoing relief effort following last year's (10) devastating earthquake.
The rocker, travelled to the troubled nation earlier this week (beg11Apr11) in an effort to help support a campaign against crime and shed light on the problems facing Haiti.
In a statement released to WENN, Farrell says, “Haiti may have fallen from the headlines, but the country still needs our help. We can’t forget about the suffering that is still going on in Haiti.
"After meeting UN (United Nations) staff and Haitian families, I urge all of our fans to donate through Music For Relief’s Download to Donate for Haiti. It is an easy way for fans to stay engaged and together we can help the UN light the future for Haiti’s women and girls."
The band's charity is currently working to install over 200 solar street lights to help keep civilians safe.
